Trying to find enough hours in the day to get everything done can feel quite overwhelming. Between getting ready for work and spending eight hours in a corporate job, there isn’t enough time to tackle the personal to-do list. In this blog post, I’ll walk you through how to manage your time as a corporate girl to maximize productivity.
Establish Routines
Establishing routines is one of the best things you can do when it comes to learning how to manage your time because it creates boundaries. If we just know that we need to get ready in the morning, but don’t have a routine, it can drag on forever.
You’ll save time in your day by setting up important routines that help you feel energized in the morning or ready to sleep in the evenings. The routines help free up extra wasted time because you will no longer need to think and decide on the next step.

Create a To-Do List
Often learning how to manage your time gets difficult because of all the items that need to get done. If you create a to-do list and establish the few important tasks for the day, you are more likely to get them done.
When there are no boundaries on what to do or when to do it, we usually just end up wasting the day away scrolling on social media or spending time on other things.
Try a Timed Planner
If you struggle with creating a to-do list or boundaries, try a timed planner to figure out how to manage your time better. I love this technique because time-binding tasks help us not procrastinate.
We usually take the amount of time we have to finish a task. So if you have a task that can be completed in 30 minutes, but you allocated an hour, you’ll probably take the full hour. A daily timed planner can help create visual time boundaries and which tasks need to be completed and when.

Keep Your Phone Away
The biggest hurdle on how to manage your time is often distractions. Whether it’s because your thoughts lead you somewhere else or you see something interesting, it is easy to spend hours watching Netflix or online shopping. These take less energy and willpower than completing tasks, so you tend to favor these activities.
By keeping your phone away, you’ll realize how often you reach for the device. These small distractions add up to many hours wasted each day. Try keeping your phone away or then using an app like Forest to stop yourself from checking social media

Take Advantage of the Few Minutes
When learning how to manage your time, probably the best tactic is to utilize the few minutes you have throughout the day. You’ll be surprised by how much you can get done.
We often have five minutes before a meeting or a few minutes while waiting to leave for the next event. Maybe it’s during your commute to and from work, or even while you’re waiting for your veggies to cook down for a meal.
This is especially helpful on hectic days, and the quick few minutes are the best time to reply totexts, send a quick email, or pack up a return.
