There are a thousand serums out there, many of which don’t do much. Maelove serums are meant to be a dupe for the expensive but well-loved, SkinCeuticals serums. But do they work and provide results? In this blog post, I’ll review three of the Maelove serums, and let you know if they are worth it. This is not sponsored.
Glow Maker Vitamin C Serum
This Maelove Vitamin C Serum is one of my favorite Vitamin C serums on the market. Not only is it gentle but potent, it leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. The serum is quick to absorb and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy throughout the day.
I honestly see a noticeable difference when I continuously use this serum, and I need to restock. It keeps my skin smooth and bright, and the antioxidants help protect against premature aging and environmental damage.

Vitamin C is a great activity for preventative skincare and this Maelove serum is the best one at the most affordable price point. I tried the SkinCeuticals serum, and honestly prefer this one. My skin felt smoother, plumper, more hydrated, and even by the time I finished the bottle.
Moonlight Advanced Retinal Night Serum
First off, the bright yellow color of this retinal serum is so fun! While retinal is less potent than retinol, this is still a strong serum. This Maelove serum helped keep sebum and acne at bay which I thoroughly appreciated.
I used this every other night since it was a bit strong for my skin, especially with the use of other acne products. The formula is quick to absorb and doesn’t feel greasy on the skin. The ceramides and hyaluronic acid help to counteract the harshness of the retina which helps minimize irritation.
But, don’t be fooled; you’ll still see amazing results with this serum. My skin produced less oil, I had fewer breakouts, and my skin texture improved by the end of the bottle.

Fade Away Brightening Serum
This is one of my favorite Maelove serums. Don’t be offended by the green color! Although slightly strong, this visibly reduces dark spots and hyperpigmentation in one day… I’m not kidding. I used this product every other night since it can be a bit irritating, but overall, an amazing formula. A little bit goes a long way, and the serum is quick to absorb into the skin.
The blend of ingredients targets uneven skin tone and leaves my skin looking even-toned and less textured. Using this consistently helped prevent dark spots and faded hyperpigmentation faster than normal.
Every South Asian should have this serum in their skincare routine. Just make sure to use sunscreen during the day!

Maelove Serums Review
Maelove serums have quickly become a favorite brand, and I recommend them to almost everyone. Not only are the formulas clean, amazing, and effective, but the brand is female and AAPI-founded, so everything I look for in a brand.
Each product is relatively affordable, but for its effectiveness, the value is incredible.
Plus, I love cleaning out the bottles and using them for DIY projects because the amber glass bottles are perfect!
With love,
