Superzero is a shampoo and conditioner bar company looking to change the way we shop for and use hair care. Not only are they more sustainable alternatives, but their products are supposed to be more potent, one bar lasting the equivalent of 2 bottles of shampoo. So, do they live up to the claims of their effectiveness? In today’s blog post, I’ll deep dive into the Superzero brand and give an in-depth review of their shampoo bar and conditioner bar.

My Hair Type
I have an oily scalp with drier ends. My hair is fine, flat, and straight. My hair is long, and I typically wash it every 2-3 days. I try to oil my hair at least once a week and prefer using sulfate-free shampoos and hydrating conditioners.
Volume + Shine Shampoo Bar for Fine Hair
This shampoo bar is supposed to provide weightless lift and volume while improving smoothness and shine. The shampoo bar is supposed to help repair bonds, strengthen hair, and enhance the scalp biome.
Although it is a bit difficult to see the difference in these areas, the shampoo bar is sulfate-free and clean, a huge win in my books. I love that it comes with a travel bag for storage but also to get the most use out of the product.
A little goes a long way and adding water makes this lather well. The part that threw me off was that this managed to clean my deeply oiled hair. How is that possible, after just two washes, without the use of sulfates? I have no idea but the shampoo bar works to get your hair clean.
That being said, this formula specifically can be a bit overstripping to the hair if used too often. I found that adding more water to get the lather going, rather than the product, helps prevent this. I love this shampoo bar, but would not use it every single day.
Medium Intensity Conditioner for Dry, Damaged Hair and Light Frizz
The conditioner bar is square as opposed to the shampoo bar in a triangle. This conditioner bar is supposed to moisturize, reduce frizz, reduce damage, and strengthen the hair. Like the shampoo bar, the conditioner bar is also clean and naturally derived.
This bar is moisturizing to my ends. As someone with longer hair, I love this bar. The product easily applies to the strands, so you don’t have to sit there feeling like you didn’t get enough conditioner on. The conditioner bar helps to reduce frizz as well.
I always braid my hair, and the waves are always less frizzy with this conditioner bar You can use this as a leave-in conditioner, although I haven’t tried that yet.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I love both products and will continue to use them in my hair care routine. A little goes a long way, and these will last you for quite some time. The smell is heavenly, like a citrus and tea spa, and elevates the whole shower experience. I hope you liked this post and please leave a comment below if you did!
