Is the Ranavat haircare line really worth it? If you have spent any time scrolling through beauty platforms lately, you have probably seen the gorgeous, luxury Ayurvedic brand Ranavat. I’ve tried over 500 beauty products and decided to put these to the test. Just to be clear, this Ranavat review is not sponsored.
I tried four of their bestsellers, the Regenerative Shampoo, Regenerative Conditioner, Glossing Hair Masque, and Renewing Leave-In Treatment, to see if this Ranavat hair care line is actually worth the price tag or just a really nice-smelling shower.
Below is my deep dive into how these luxury Ayurvedic products actually performed on my straight, fine South Asian hair.

Ranavat Regenerative Shampoo Review
I thought the Ranavat shampoo was a decent everyday option. It’s not the most cleansing but does foam up well on the second wash. However, I did have to use a decent amount of the regenerative shampoo to get enough to cover my scalp. Overall, I’d rate the Ranavat regenerative shampoo a 3/5. If you have finer hair like mine, budget for going through this one faster than you’d expect. I think it’s good but may not be worth your money.

Ranavat Regenerative Conditioner Review
Unlike the shampoo, I really enjoyed the Ranavat conditioner. It’s thick, creamy, and a little bit goes a long way. It left my hair smooth and tangle-free with less frizz than usual, and the texture reminds me of a good deep conditioner rather than a daily rinse-out. The Ranavat conditioner has the consistency and results of a good deep conditioner.
However, even after the entire bottle, I’m not sure if I saw any visible, long term results. Overall, I’d rate this a 3/5 but don’t know if I can justify the price. If you’re dealing with significantly damaged hair, this could be an option.

Ranavat Renewing Leave in Treatment Review
I really wanted to like the Ranavat leave in treatment, however, this did not give me the moisture I was looking for. The product has a lightweight and creamy texture, but was a bit too watery once applied. Personally, I think I prefer spray based leave in conditioners where it is easier to coat each strand. This product left me wanting more, and I don’t think it did a great job at detangling my hair.
I think this would work best for shorter hair individuals whose lengths don’t end up being very dry. Or, if you want a daily moisturizing treatment for your ends, this good be a good option. Overall, this gets a 2/5 for my use, but I would be willing to try it as a daily treatment.

Ranavat Glossing Hair Masque
The Ranavat hair mask is quite nice and actually does a nice job of adding shine to my hair. However, I think it is more lightweight than the regenerative conditioner. I prefer the thicker consistency of the conditioner and ended up reaching for the glossing hair masque less.
The product did leave my hair feeling soft, shiny, and tangle free. Overall, a lovely experience, but it didn’t do much for me. A 2/5 as well.
Ranavat Hair Care Final Thoughts
Overall, the Ranavat hair care line is a luxurious and sensorial experience. I enjoyed using the products every time I washed my hair, and it filled my bathroom with the scent of jasmine. I absolutely loved the products from that perspective.
As a South Asian woman, I also appreciate what Ranavat is doing: bringing Ayurvedic beauty traditions like amla and ashwagandha into the Western prestige market with real intention behind it.
However, for the price point, the hair care line left me wanting just a bit more. I personally didn’t see much of a difference in my hair even after using the entire bottle, but others with more damaged hair might!
With love,
