The Traditional South Asian Hair Care Brand: Shaz and Kiks
Shaz and Kiks will forever be a favorite South Asian hair care brand. The thought, care, and luxurious experience bottled up in every package is simply amazing. Shaz and Kiks focus on concentrated power-house plant ingredients bundled with time-honored traditions.
The shampoo and conditioners from Shaz and Kiks are a holy grail for me. The products smell amazing and are incredibly concentrated. The shampoo lathers well and gently exfoliate. The conditioner is incredibly hydrating as well. The Balancing Clay Hair Cleanser works best for my hair type, but they have another hydrating shampoo as well for coarser hair.

The Luxury South Asian Hair Care Brand: Ranavat
Ranavat is definitely on the luxury price end of South Asian hair care brands. While best known for their skincare, Ranavat’s hair care products are also amazing. The brand’s hair care line is rooted in rituals and most of the products smell like jasmine which is just incredible. The brand is beautifully packaged and you just feel transported to traditional India when you use their products.
My favorite is the Fortifying Hair Serum from the line. With just a few simple ingredients, it works amazingly well as a hair oil and post-wash treatment. The serum is lightweight but hydrating and easy to wash out. It’s a no-fuss product that will keep your hair happy. Plus, you’ll want to display the product on your vanity because it’s beautiful.

The Fun South Asian Hair Care Brand: Fable & Mane
Fable and Mane have quickly taken over social media for South Asian hair care brands, and for good reason! Their products are well thought out and just fun to use. While best known for their hair oils, I prefer some other products more. This South Asian hair care brand is a bit more budget-friendly compared to the rest and has a few more products to choose from.
My go-to product is the volume spray. While the scent can be overpowering, I look past it because it is the perfect lightweight, non-greasy formula. It is the volume spray that I have been trying to find for years. Another summertime favorite is the detangling spray. It is lightweight but detangles well.
