Wellness can mean many different things. However, at the end of the day, it is about incorporating tools and actions to live a healthier and happier lifestyle. In this blog post, I will round up the best unconventional self care products you should know about.
Reading is Self Care
Reading is an incredibly powerful hobby, but taking physical books everywhere you go can be difficult. The Kindle is an amazing self-care product that makes it easy and cheaper to read on the go. This self-care product will help you get back into the habit of reading, make it easy to switch between books, and let you highlight text.
Although the Kindle has a moderate price tag, I think you get your money’s worth after just a few books because each digital book is cheaper than its hard copy version. This is a self care product that now goes everywhere with me.
Fitness is Self Care
Working out, for even just a few minutes a day, is an essential act of self care. The Fitbod App is a self care product that has made this exceptionally easy for me. It creates a personalized workout plan based on your body composition, goals, and time.

This self care product is incredible at getting over the hurdle of “what to do at the gym”. With warm-ups, stretches, and cool-downs also available, this is a great self care product for whenever you need a bit of movement.
Teas are Self Care
The benefits of tea are deeply rooted in Ancient Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, and other traditional wellness practices. Harney and Sons is an affordable brand to buy teas from.
Teas are a self care product because of the benefits from the leaves and also as a warm beverage. It is a great alternative to coffee and can help to slowly wake you up in the mornings. Herbal teas in the evenings can help calm and destress you, making this another great self care product.

Rituals are Self Care
This may be a bit random, but I have found that a good, adjustable kettle is a self care product for me. The ritual of heating up water, setting the temperature, and picking out a beverage to brew helps relax my mind and body.
Rituals are a part of self care and the Fellow Kettle is a self care product in one of these so-called rituals. If you enjoy drinking tea, coffee, or matcha, try investing in a setup that gets you excited to keep brewing!
Painting is Self Care
Everyone should have a creative hobby. It keeps your imagination running and helps you think outside the box. Painting is a form of self care and the Himi Gouache Paints are a self care product you’ll want to try. The paint lets you work as lightly as watercolor or as strong as acrylics.
These gouache pants have been a self care product I have thoroughly enjoyed using just to test out some strokes or create a “masterpiece”.
