Clean, sustainable, waterless shampoos weren’t always the best option for hair care, but we have come a long way. In my own sustainable and clean beauty product journey, I have tried quite a few waterless hair products. Some were misses, but these were hits. In this blog post, I’ll go through 3 clean, waterless shampoo finds that work wonders on fine, straight hair whether you have dry or oily roots.
Shaz and Kiks Balancing Clay Cleanser
Can this be a complete list without mentioning at least one South Asian brand? The Shaz and Kiks waterless shampoo is an amazing everyday shampoo that balances the scalp and removes oil and build-up. I find this one to be the least stripping and the best for daily use. I love doing a double shampoo session for the best results.

The waterless shampoo lathers well and leaves my hair feeling soft, clean, and shiny. The scent creates the most luxurious shower experience and a little bit of product goes a long way.
The physical scrub component of this waterless shampoo is something to get used to, but overall I love this product, especially for hair maintenance. One jar will last you a good 6-9 months.
Earthling Co Shampoo Bar
Earthling Co’s sustainable and waterless shampoo bars were the first I ever fell in love with. These shampoo bars are amazing at cleaning the hair, plus they are compact and easy to travel with. While Shaz and Kiks is my luxury at-home experience, Earthling Co is my everyday, wherever-I-go product.
Even though I don’t wash my hair every day, I think this waterless shampoo does a great job at removing heavier build-up and giving you that clean scalp. I do a double shampoo session here as well for the best results.

Because this waterless shampoo is a bar, it goes wherever I travel. It’s compact and solid meaning it doesn’t take up space in my bag and doesn’t count as a liquid. One bar has lasted me well over a year so you get your money’s worth. I love the scent and color options available.
SuperZero Fine Hair Solid Shampoo Bar
If you have greasy hair, you’ll love this Superzero waterless shampoo bar. The superzero shampoo bar does an amazing job and cleaning the scalp and build-up. I’ll go as far as to say that this is a clarifying shampoo even though it is sulfate-free.

The scent makes you feel like you are at a spa and a little bit of product goes a long way. Even just one wash of this waterless shampoo on oiled hair does wonders. This is one I wouldn’t use daily, but now and then for good maintenance.
